Product Description

In tank terms the KV-2 ‘bunker buster’ is, quite possibly, one of the most unique silhouettes of WWII. The hull was no different to that of the KV-1, however in order to accommodate the 152mm (5.98in) L20 howitzer, a box shaped, 12.9 tonne turret was mounted. The result was a weapon that stood 4.9m (16ft) tall, compared to the 3.9m height of the KV-1. Given this obvious disadvantage the high profile of the KV-2’s turret was compensated by its immense 110mm frontal armour and 75mm side armour.
