The naval variant of the famous British vectored thrust jet aircraft, the Sea Harrier FRS.1  was required to be a fleet defender, with the added ability to perform reconnaissance and strike missions as required. The Sea Harrier came to prominence during the Falklands War of 1982, where this last 'All British Fighter' accounted for 20 enemy aircraft destroyed without suffering a single loss during air combat engagement.
